Dr Steve Rogers

Dr Rogers completed his initial training in Tasmania and earned a diploma in anaesthetics while in the UK. He has spent several years alternating general practice training with gaining a wide experience in relevant fields such as emergency medicine, anaesthetics, medical retrieval, drug and alcohol, psychiatry and paediatrics.

He is married to a previous doctor at our clinic, Dr Catherine Kelly, and share three children.

After working as GPs in Tasmania, he and his partner then spent ten years as GP partners in SE England, gaining much experience in chronic disease and working closely together. Their family returned to Tasmania in 2014 for the lifestyle it offers.

Dr Rogers is particularly interested in the prevention and follow-up of chronic conditions such as heart disease, lung disease and diabetes, and was involved in programs for this in the UK.
