Important Note

Eastern Shore Doctors Lauderdale will be merging with Eastern Shore Doctors Bellerive

Dear Valued Patients,

With several of our long-serving doctors recently retired and others relocating, Eastern Shore Doctors Lauderdale has been reviewing a range of options to ensure we can continue to serve our community. Despite efforts to actively recruit for some time, Australia’s GP shortage has made attracting new doctors extremely difficult.

As such, Eastern Shore Doctors Lauderdale will be merging with nearby Eastern Shore Doctors Bellerive from 3rd June this year.

It’s a solution that will allow continuity of care for patients wishing to join us at Bellerive while also effectively resourcing the clinic for the future.

The final day of appointments at our Lauderdale location will be 31st May 2024.

As a valued patient, you have options for the future of your care. Should you wish to make your next appointment at Bellerive, the following doctors are also making the move:

  • Dr Pierre Receveaux and Dr Ed Foley will be available for appointments at Bellerive.
  • We hope to have Dr Sally Peacock join us at the Bellerive clinic after she returns to work from her parental leave.

Being part of the same Eastern Shore Doctors group of clinics, doctors at Bellerive will already have access to your medical records.

We also have medical centres at Rosny Park, Sorell, in the CBD, and at Sandy Bay that are all accepting new patients.

Other clinics in the local area are also accepting new patients, including:

We can assist in transferring your medical records if you would prefer to move to one of these clinics, or another of your choosing.

We’ll be working closely with patients over the coming weeks to amend appointments for those who choose to move to Bellerive and transfer medical records for those who’d prefer to move to a new clinic.

Whatever you choose, our friendly staff are here to help.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work through this solution that will enable us to continue serving the local community. As always, the health and wellbeing of patients remains our central priority.
